A review!
“Being as active as possible with a lot of fun!” Faithful to this slogan we host the first Prosthesis Meeting here in Rostock for two days in June with our partners like BIKE Market, Transporrad-MV, Hase Bikes, Ottobock, Össur and Mercures.
Our prosthesis clients could get an overview about the newest trends and supply options and even about other aids.
In the interesting talks everybody became apparent: in spite of handicaps, with a good supply, there are a lot of things possible, which where naturally before amputation – to the point of sport.
Additional our guests had the possibility to get a check-up and fine-tuning for their prosthesis with our technology team or a walking school with our physiotherapist. In the outdoor area they could test and inform themselves about the newest trends in the sector of bikes and e-bikes from the companies BIKE Market, Hase Bikes or Transport-MV.
As a highlight two above-knee amputee got special shafts for their bikes. Small tours are possible with the prothesis for everyday, but one of the participant pass tours up to 180km, there the shaft has to fit perfectly and has to be complementary to the bike.
The meeting was rounded down (abgerundet) with a BBQ, the exchange between the amputees and a bicycle tour with e-mountain bikes through the Gespensterwald up to Heiligendamm. Finally, we celebrate in the Deck Beach Club directly at the Baltic Sea.
It was a successful event and all participants are looking forward to next year.
